The Stockholm Gotland Hockey Office chooses PlayWellMinds

The Stockholm Gotland Hockey Office and PlayWellMinds are launching a three-year collaboration focusing on the mental training of youth.

We are very happy to announce that Hockeykontor Stockholm Gotland has agreed to a three-year collaboration with PlayWellMinds, focusing on strengthening the mental health of young hockey players.
For us, mental training is not just about performing better on the ice.

It is about giving young people practical tools to manage thoughts, feelings, pressure, setbacks, and the situations that are a natural part of both sports and life.

– We want to give our young players the best possible conditions, both as hockey players and as individuals. The mental aspect is an important part of that. After a pilot last season, we are so glad that we, together with PlayWellMinds, have the opportunity to work on these issues in a concrete and long-term way, says Carina Oddsberg, Hockeykontor Manager.

And that long-term perspective is crucial. Just like physical training, mental training needs to take place over time. Therefore, it feels especially meaningful that we are now entering a three-year collaboration together. But the most important thing is not actually what we adults say about it.

It is what the youth themselves experience.

That is why we let some of the players who have already met PlayWellMinds share their thoughts in their own words in the video. These young people come from Boo Hockey and Älta Hockey (video in Swedish):

For us, this collaboration is an important step towards a larger ambition:

To make mental training a natural part of growing up.

We are proud of this trust and are really looking forward to the next three years together.
