Håbo FF invests in mental fitness
The local newspaper EnaHåbo-Tidningen spoke to the Håbo FF girls football team about their experience working with teen mental fitness and PlayWellMinds.
Mental illness is not only growing among young people in Sweden, but also one of society’s greatest challenges. To help turn the trend, Håbo FF women’s juniors have added the PlayWellMinds app and program to their training routine. The girls report benefiting greatly from the program – helping them to stay calm, accept mistakes and trust themselves more.
- We at the club have not previously had the opportunity to work with mental health in such a structured way. In the past, we mostly had occasional lectures or courses from the football association. PlayWellMinds gives us completely different tools to use, notes Jonas Karlsson, chairman of Håbo FF.
